Where were you living prior to your current home, and how did you begin your house hunting process?

We were living in Houston when Minsu was offered a promotion in Virginia. We started doing research about Charlottesville and the surrounding area. We also began reading reviews about local real estate companies and loved what people had to say about Story House.

What drew you to working with Story House Real Estate?

Minsu researched local real estate companies and Story House had wonderful reviews. He interviewed several agents from different companies over the phone and really liked Josh right away.

What made you choose Charlottesville?

We loved the diversity of Charlottesville and surrounding area due to the university. After visiting and looking at homes, we really loved the vibe we got in Crozet.

How did you discover the neighborhood (where you eventually ended up buying), and what did you love about it?

We were looking at schools and saw that they were highly rated in Crozet. We looked at several homes that were for sale and loved the look of the neighborhood. There were kids out roaming and playing. There were lots of people out for walks. It seemed very friendly and a great place to raise our 3 boys.

What was your experience like working with the Story House Real Estate team?

I was very apprehensive about moving to a new state where we knew nothing of the area. Working with Josh was a dream! He answered every question or found the answer. He knew we were on a tight schedule as we flew in just to look at homes and spent several days showing us all we needed. He helped with the logistics of buying from out of state and even attended our inspection when we couldn’t make it. He truly went above and beyond.

What was your journey like buying/selling your home?

Selling our home in TX was definitely a painful, rocky experience and completely different from the experience we had in VA with Story House. We feel very lucky to have found Josh at Story House to make our transition to VA so smooth.

What was the most stressful part of the real estate process?

Moving to a new state where we knew nothing about the area, except through research, was stressful. Josh was really knowledgeable about the areas we looked at and helped ease that stress.

What was the best part of the real estate process?

The best part of the real estate process was finding the perfect home in the perfect neighborhood for our family. I really love our choice.

If you had to describe your real estate experience to friends and family what would you say?

I would say that working with Josh at Story House really made this a great experience. We couldn’t have asked for a more competent, helpful, knowledgeable agent. We called Josh immediately when my in-laws visited us and decided they wanted to move here too! I would recommend Josh to everyone.

If you had any advice to give first-time home sellers/buyers what would it be?

Advice I would give to first-time home buyers/sellers is that finding the right agent is crucial. We have bought and sold homes and properties prior to working with Story House and those experiences were definitely not the ideal experience we had with Story House.
