Josh White is a residential REALTOR®, Associate Broker, and Sales Manager at Story House Real Estate in Charlottesville, VA. A proud James Madison University graduate with a Bachelor’s in History, he later earned his Master’s in Middle School Social Studies Education from North Carolina State University.
Before diving into real estate, Josh built a career in education, serving as a teacher, coach, athletic director, and hiring consultant. His transition into real estate was hands-on—working as a licensed assistant, transaction coordinator, and listing assistant before becoming a full-time buyer’s agent. His depth of experience ensures clients receive expert guidance at every step.
Josh’s dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. He was named Sales Associate of the Year (2021) by the Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS® (CAAR) and has served on the CAAR Board of Directors, most recently as Treasurer. In 2025, he stepped into the role of CAAR President, elected by his peers.
With a broad depth of experience across multiple sectors of the real estate market, Josh helps clients confidently navigate everything from traditional home sales to complex property investments. His expertise includes residential real estate, raw land, estates, and new construction, as well as specialized properties such as recreational and hunting land, second homes, and vacation properties.
He also assists clients with strategic transactions, including investment properties, 1031 exchanges, and coordinating the simultaneous buying and selling of homes. Whether helping a first-time buyer, guiding a family through an estate sale, or advising an investor expanding their portfolio, he focuses on providing knowledgeable guidance, strong negotiation, and a seamless transaction experience.

Beyond real estate, Josh is a strong advocate for property rights, serving on the Public Policy Committee with the Virginia Association of REALTORS®, where he works to shape policies that impact homeowners across the Commonwealth.

Josh loves to hunt local Virginia game, spend time outside hiking and fishing, play golf at all the Central Virginia courses, read any kind of good book (but mainly business, theology, history, or historical fiction), travel, do home improvement projects, and spend time with family and friends. He loves to attend his kids’ sporting events and encourage them in their talents and interests. He is married to Mallory, who is a talented employee at VMDO Architects, and she enjoys interior design, cooking, and parenting. They have three children, Maggie (7), Libby (5), and Parks (2). Josh is very involved in leadership at The Point Church and serves as a member of the Board of Directors, a Community Group Leader, and a volunteer in the children’s ministry. Mallory and Josh enjoy playing golf together, attending philanthropic events, pursuing long-lasting change in the community through volunteering, and have previously been foster parents. Josh also “moonlights” as a wedding officiant and has officiated 5 weddings for family and close friends!
