What made you choose Charlottesville? Michael grew up here, and I went to undergrad here. As they say, Charlottesville is the hook that keeps you in its grip, and so though we knew we wanted a home with property on which our family could grow, we also ­knew our deal breaker was that we couldn’t leave the greater Charlottesville area.

We had a really cool condo in Fifeville by the Amtrak station. Prior to that we were both in school at JMU. Beginning the house-hunting process was pretty one-sided.
